WTF is going on?

RandomSancho is the latest online incarnation of Alex Stanhope, sometime web and graphic designer, photographer, teacher, DJ and freelance thinker. It is also the name of a Shoutcast-based radio station serving up a strangely curious mix of somewhat eclectic music.

So why Sancho then?

I walked into one of the studios at work one day, when one of my graphics students, a certain Gui de Freitas (that's a link to his first ever site by the way) suddenly decided that I really ought to be called "Sancho", and promptly proceeded to tell the entire class the good news of my "rebirth". Thanks Gui ;-) Anyway, things went from bad to worse when his best mate Adam came up with the bright idea of slapping me on the cover of his band's (Losthenfound) debut EP cover - This slab of unrelenting Pop-Punk madness also seemed to acquire the rather apt tile of "Where's Sancho" - Ah, happy times...

That's lovely, but what about the music?

Good question! Always been into music, period! Over 17 years of DJing, I have acquired a sickening amount of vinyl and CD tunes - I've always tried to keep an open mind as regards what I listen to, and will happily enjoy pretty much any genre going. Which brings us back to the "station", the golden rule here is "anything goes!"
